Mother's Day Celebration

On May 11, 2024, S.G. Public Senior Secondary School in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, held a colorful program to celebrate Mother's Day. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by enchanting performances including Ganesh Vandana by students. Children from KG to Class V participated with lively dance performances and heartfelt poetry recitations. Games and activities, including a quiz and games for mothers, added to the festivity. Some mothers shared their maternal journey, adding a personal touch. Director Mr. Raja Raman Khanna emphasized the unbreakable bond between mothers and children. Deputy Director Mr. S.K. Sharma highlighted the contribution of women's strength to national development. Mrs. Vibha Khanna, the school's director, and Principal Mrs. Reena Suri extended Mother's Day greetings and felicitated the winners, with Vice Principal Mrs. Kajal Khanduja congratulating them as well.

Maths Quiz Competition III, IV , V

Mathematics is not only real, but it is the reality

S.G. Public Sr. Sec. School organized a mathematics quiz on May 7, 2024, aimed at cultivating a passion for math among students in grades 3 to 5. The event, spanning two hours, fostered healthy competition and teamwork within the school community. Two students from each section, representing houses named after eminent scientists (APJ Abdul Kalam, C V Raman, Vikram Sarabhai, and Srinivasan Ramanujan), eagerly participated. Participants were briefed on the rules before the quiz commenced.

 

The quiz comprised two rounds featuring a total of 20 questions, ranging from standard to tricky ones. An audience round was also conducted during intervals and towards the end of the quiz, encouraging wider participation. Results were announced at the conclusion of the event.

 

The primary goal of this quiz was not only to enhance students' mathematical skills but also to instill confidence, teamwork, and a competitive spirit. By presenting math in an enjoyable and engaging manner, the aim is to cultivate a lifelong appreciation for the subject among our students.

Hindi Poem Recitation Competition

 एस जी पब्लिक सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल, वसुंधरा,ग़ाज़ियाबाद ।

 आज विद्यालय में अंतर सदन हिंदी कविता वाचन प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया ।छात्र -छात्राओं ने इस प्रतियोगिता में उत्साहपूर्वक हिस्सा लिया ।प्रतियोगिता कक्षा-छठी से आठवीं कक्षा तक के छात्र -छात्राओं के बीच थी ।प्रतियोगिता का परिणाम इस प्रकार रहा कक्षा छठी से बालकों में सक्षम ने प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया।द्वितीय,तृतीय स्थान क्रमश :ललित तथा दिव्यांश ने प्राप्त किया ।

 सातवीं कक्षा से कार्तिक ने प्रथम ,रुद्र ने द्वितीय ,अरिहंत ने तृतीय तथा प्रशांत ने चतुर्थ स्थान प्राप्त किया ।

आठवीं कक्षा से अनंतेश ने प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया तो सत्यम और रौनक ने क्रमशः द्वितीय तथा तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त किया ।

बालिकाओं में छठी कक्षा से प्रथम स्थान पर रही समृद्धि ,द्वितीय एवं तृतीय स्थान पर रही मानवी एवं आरुषि ।

सातवीं कक्षा से जहाँ मोहिता सिंह प्रथम स्थान पर रही वहीं सोनाक्षी ,अन्वी  एवं आद्या ने क्रमशः द्वितीय ,तृतीय एवं चतुर्थ स्थान प्राप्त किया ।आठवीं कक्षा से प्रथम स्थान पर रही एंजल तो प्रियांशी एवं विप्रा ने द्वितीय तथा तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त किया।

 प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती रीना सूरी एवं उप प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती काजल खंडूजा ने बच्चों को बधाई देते हुए उनके स्वर्णिम भविष्य की कामना की।

District Basketball U-14 Championship

The court was set, the teams were ready, and the excitement for basketball filled the air as S. G. Public Sr Sec School hosted an electrifying Ghaziabad district Under-14 Boys and Girls Basketball Championship!

In the final matches of the three-day championship, the girls from Amity International School, Vasundhara, displayed a spectacular performance, securing the first position. Meanwhile, Seth Anand Ram Jaipuria School, Vasundhara, stood second, and Sun Valley School, Vaishali, and Presidium School, Indirapuram, clinched the third position.

In the boys' category, Nehru World School, Nehru Nagar, Ghaziabad, secured the first position with the highest points, while Bhagirath Public School, Ghaziabad, secured the second position. D.P.S.G. Meerut Road and St. Xavier's World School stood third.

Soumya from Amity International School won the title of best player among the girls, while Abhinav Singh from Bhagirath School, Ghaziabad, clinched the title among the boys.

The chief guest for the event was the school's director, Mr. Raja Raman Khanna. Other dignitaries present included Dr. Durai Rajan (Deputy Director of Sports), Seth Anand Ram Jaipuria School, District Basketball Association Secretary Neeraj Sharma, and the school's principal, Mrs. Reena Suri.

The adjudicating panel was honored with mementos as a token of appreciation.
