Slogan Writing Competition

In a powerful display of community engagement, the students of Class VII of S.G. Public Sr. Sec. School participated today 12.07.2024 in a thought-provoking slogan writing competition focused on the "Stop Diarrhea" campaign. Organized by the school's health club in collaboration with the district health department, this event aimed to raise awareness and inspire action against the pressing issue of diarrheal diseases.

The young participants showcased their creativity and understanding of the topic, crafting impactful slogans that highlighted the importance of practicing proper handwashing, accessing safe water, and maintaining good sanitation. These simple yet effective measures are crucial in preventing the spread of diarrhea, a significant public health concern, particularly among children.

World Population Day: A Call for Sustainable Future

On July 11th, Daksh Papne, a Class IX student, delivered a powerful speech on World Population Day. He highlighted the current global population statistics, which have surpassed seven point nine billion, and the pressing need to address the challenges associated with this rapid growth.

Daksh emphasized the importance of access to reproductive healthcare, girls' education, and sustainable practices to mitigate the environmental impact of population growth. He urged his peers to become advocates for change and support initiatives that promote sustainable development.

Daksh's insightful speech inspired his classmates to recognize their collective responsibility in creating a more equitable and sustainable future for all.

Kia Motors Promotes Road Safety Awareness at S.G. Public Sr. Sec. School

The Department of Kia Motors visited S.G. Public Sr. Sec. School to conduct two informative sessions on road safety measures for students from classes III to VIII.

The sessions began with a presentation by the Kia Motors team, highlighting the company's commitment to developing vehicles with advanced safety features. This was followed by a questionnaire round, which tested the students' understanding of the concepts discussed.

To further assess the students' knowledge, a written test was conducted, challenging them to apply the information they had learned. The school administration was impressed by the students' enthusiastic participation and their ability to grasp the crucial aspects of road safety.

The Kia Motors initiative was warmly welcomed by the S.G. Public Sr. Sec. School community, as it provided an opportunity for the students to gain valuable insights into the automotive industry's efforts to promote safer driving practices. The partnership between the school and Kia Motors has undoubtedly contributed to the students' overall understanding and appreciation of road safety, an essential life skill.

3rd State Taekwondo Championship 2024-25

The 3rd State Taekwondo Championship, held from June 1 to June 3,2024 at S G Public Sr Sec School, Vasundhara, saw a strong turnout with over 500 students participating. The event resulted in 36 students in Kyorugi and 12 in Poomsae being selected to represent the state at the national competition in Katak, Odisha on June 29,2024

A Blend of Fun and Learning

S G Public Sr Sec  School, Vasundhara, recently organized an exciting summer camp from May 20 to May 31, packed with a variety of engaging activities like badminton, taekwondo, dance, non-fire cooking, best out of waste, and public speaking, to name a few, designed to foster creativity, physical fitness, and intellectual growth among students. The camp provided a perfect blend of sports, arts, and life skills, ensuring that every child had an opportunity to explore their interests and talents.

The summer camp at school was a resounding success, offering a well-rounded program.

The last day was the closing ceremony, in which children gave a presentation of the activities they were engaged in. A dance party was organized, which the kids enjoyed a lot. By participating in these activities, children not only honed their skills and discovered new passions but also built lasting friendships and memories. The camp exemplified the school’s commitment to holistic education, ensuring that students develop academically, physically, and emotionally in a supportive and fun environment.
